Everything you need to service the 5-speed automatic transmission in your Sprinter — fluid, filter, pan gasket and connector adapter — in one correctly matched box.

This kit covers the Mercedes-Benz 5-speed automatic transmission (factory code 722.6, also called NAG1) used in Sprinter diesel vans from 2002 through 2018. Order it, drop the pan, and you have every part the job needs — no hunting down four separate items, no guessing on fluid type.

Fuchs TITAN ATF 4134 — the premium full-synthetic choice. A full-synthetic fluid that meets the same Mercedes-Benz spec as the factory fill (MB 236.14), with extra thermal stability and shear resistance — a popular upgrade for high-mileage, heavy-duty, and towing vans that run their transmissions hard. Prefer the exact factory-fill fluid? We offer the same kit with Shell ATF 134.

What's in the box:

  • Fuchs TITAN ATF 4134 transmission fluid — 8 liters (8 bottles), full synthetic, Mercedes-Benz 236.14 approved
  • Transmission filter — correct for the 5-speed (722.6) · qty 1
  • Molded pan gasket — reusable rubber seal for the transmission pan · qty 1
  • 13-pin connector adapter — the "electronic socket" that seals the transmission's conductor-plate connector · qty 1

Why buy the complete kit:

  • One box, everything matched — no wrong-part returns, no missing pieces halfway through the job
  • Premium full-synthetic fluid at the correct MB spec for smooth shifting and long transmission life
  • The connector adapter is a classic leak point on this transmission — replacing it during service stops the common "weeping" leak before it starts
  • Faster and simpler than sourcing the four parts separately

Will it fit my van? — 5-speed automatic (722.6 / NAG1):

  • Freightliner Sprinter 2500 & 3500 — 2002–2018 (2.7L 5-cyl diesel on the older body; 3.0L V6 diesel on the newer body)
  • Dodge Sprinter 2500 & 3500 — 2003–2009 (2.7L diesel; 3.0L V6 diesel)
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 & 3500 — 2010–2018 (3.0L V6 diesel)

By body style & engine:

  • T1N body (2002–2006): 2.7L 5-cylinder turbo diesel (OM612 / OM647)
  • NCV3 body (2007–2018): 3.0L V6 turbo diesel (OM642)

Important — this is the 5-speed kit only. Some 2014-and-newer Sprinters with the smaller 2.1L 4-cylinder diesel use a 7-speed transmission, and all 2019+ Sprinters (VS30) use a 7- or 9-speed — those take different filters and gaskets. The 3.0L V6 diesel kept the 5-speed all the way through 2018. If you're not sure which transmission you have, check before ordering or send us your VIN and we'll confirm.

About the service: Mercedes recommends a transmission fluid and filter service on this gearbox roughly every 40,000 miles under normal use — sooner for heavy-duty, towing, or high-mileage vans. A correct service restores smooth shifting and is one of the cheapest ways to add years of life to the transmission.
